About The College

Established in 1968, D.A.V. College of Education, Abohar is a leading teacher training institution of Punjab being run by DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi. The college has completed 45 years of illustrious service in the field of teacher education and has always achieved exceptional results in academic, cultural and other related fields. Since its foundation, our college has carved a unique place for itself in the educational superstructure of Punjab by dint of its pupil’s marvelous accolade in academic and cultural spheres. The college is permanently recognized by NCTE for running M.Ed. (35 seats) and B.Ed. (250 seats) programmes and is affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh. The college is also recognized by NCTE and SCERT to run 100 seats for ETT course since 2005. College is recognized by the Govt. of Punjab under the grant-in-aid scheme. The college has always taken lead to provide progressive and quality teacher education by equipping each & every pupil with all the necessary virtues and traits.
